Just the beginning...

Recently I took the plunge and bought myself a sewing machine. In the past Jenn has always done my sewing for me, but now that my mind changes pretty regularly and I rarely see her, it just made sense. Took me a little time to get back in the swing of things (i.e. not sewing the wrong two sides of a pillow together). I'm off and running on my outdoor pillows. Longtime Inspiration

In August of 2004, Martha Stewart Living magazine published the following photo as their cover and I have kept that copy of the magazine since then. It is the only Martha Stewart magazine that I still have from the 2 years (2003-2004) I had the subscription. The cover photo has always been my favorite cottage pic and even though at that time I had just met my husband it was always an inspiration to me. Now that our new dock is complete, the inspiration in this photo may actually become a reality!
