Weekend Projects

Jenn and I spent the weekend at her place shopping and sewing. Here are some pictures of the end results.

The first picture is of the open shelving in my kitchen. We purchased the the 3 white storage containers for $2 each at the Dollarama. I think its a pretty nice way to conceal dog cookies.

The next picture is of my living room and shows the pillows that Jenn made for it. I got the fabric at Fabricland on sale for $3 a meter down from $10 a meter and all four pillows took only 1.5 meters worth of fabric. The orange colour is outside my comfort zone (I really like neutrals and earthy colours) but it is growing on me. I'm thinking I still need a few accents in orange to successfully integrate such a bright colour. Overkill maybe?

P.S. The pictures do not do the carpet justice. It is actually a nice dark beige but for some reason in photos it comes out looking pinkish.

Now I just have to convince Jenn to post the after pictures of the projects we did at her house.
